In 2008 I left the profession and enrolled into The College of Coastal Georgia. Over the past 7 years, I have earned degrees in both Visual Art and Teacher Education and I am currently a Mathematics Major. This Spring, I began my senior year and am on track for a Spring 2015 graduation with a Bachelors Degree in Pure Mathematics. Upon graduation, I hope to go on to graduate school in Iowa.
So, while I am earning my degree, I thought it would be a fun hobby to create an online cookbook for my friends and family that would actually teach the art and science of culinary preparation and help keep the culinarian side of my brain sharp.

and a sundried tomato compound butter.

All the recipes are designed to teach a certain set of skills, therefore, even if you don't try a recipe, it is a good idea to read over it to make sure you have a firm grasp of the ideas within. I say this because, as the blog moves forward, the recipes will become more complicated, as they build upon introduced skills and ideas. In doing this, it is my hope that the reader will make connections between preparation techniques that will facilitate the fundamental understanding of the culinary arts, so that the reliance on cookbooks can be broken and original recipes created.
Additionally, most of the recipes are created for couples, using inexpensive, readily available ingredients, and simplified techniques.
I hope this page proves useful to anyone wanting to expand their culinary horizons.
Please feel free to inbox me with recipe requests.
